1. About us
These terms apply to all quotations, orders and installations by Shires Wardrobes & Media Walls ("we", "us"). Contact: 07762 100589 · shireswmw@gmail.com.
2. Quotations
Written quotations are fixed-price and valid for 30 days from the date issued. Verbal figures are indicative only. Any changes to the specification after acceptance may require a revised quote.
3. Deposits & payment
A 50% deposit is required to place the manufacturing order. The balance is due on completion of installation. We accept bank transfer.
4. Lead times & scheduling
Typical lead time from deposit to install is 4–6 weeks depending on finish and workload. We will confirm your install date as soon as manufacturing is complete. Dates can only be guaranteed once confirmed in writing.
5. Site conditions
The install area must be clear, decorated, and with flooring in place before we arrive. Where existing furniture, carpets or fittings need removal, this must be agreed in advance and may be quoted separately.
6. Guarantees
All furniture is supplied with a 5-year manufacturer guarantee covering components (hinges, runners, panels) against manufacturing defect. Installation carries a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own the property, covering adjustment of scribes, doors and drawer fronts.
Guarantees do not cover damage from misuse, accidental damage, moisture ingress, or modifications made by others.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel within 14 days of placing your order and receive a full deposit refund. After 14 days, once manufacturing has begun, the deposit is non-refundable as the furniture is made-to-measure to your specific room.
8. Title & risk
Title to the goods passes to you once payment is received in full. Risk passes on installation.
9. Liability
We are fully insured for the installation work we carry out. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
